Il 15 maggio a Genova, workshop Bluegrass Fiddle & Chop Workshop con Casey Driessen.
Laureato al Berklee College of Music, dove ha studiato con Matt Glaser. Si è esibito con Béla Fleck, Abigail Washburn, Steve Earle, Tim O’Brien, Darrell Scott, Jim Lauderdale, Lee Ann Womack, Mark Schatz, John Doyle e Chris Thile.
Ha registrato con Darol Anger, John Mayer, Jerry Douglas, Jamey Haddad e Blue Merle.
Ha anche registrato la colonna sonora del film di Johnny Cash Walk the Line.
È stato in tour con The Duhks, in sostituzione di Tania Elizabeth.
