Dopo sei anni una nuova edizione del festival! Il programma presenta: The Del McCoury Band, Kruger Brothers, Terry Baucom and the Dukes of Drive. Il festival si terrà nel giardino della storica Cove Creek School in Sugar Grove, North Carolina, che è anche sede del Doc & Merle Watson Folk Art Museum.
Per rinfrescarci la memoria ricordiamo che Doc vinse sette Grammy Awards, un National Medal of the Arts, ed è presente nella International Bluegrass Music Hall of Fame. Sia Doc che la moglie Rose ci hanno lasciati nel 2012 a distanza di pochi mesi.
